PITT CALKIN
Pitt has more than 25 years of health care financial and operational experience. He has been a CFO for a major university center in the Southwest as well as for two large Catholic health care systems. He has also served as COO/CFO for a major regional referral center.
Pitt has led a $1 billion financing with tax-exempt and taxable debt instruments. He has extensive experience in managed care contracting for both governmental and national contracts. He has managed more than $400 million in investments, including the oversight of twelve national money management firms. He also has extensive background in revenue cycle enhancement strategies.
Operationally, Pitt has worked closely with numerous physician groups to form joint ventures with health care facilities, including a nationally recognized intensivist program with physician-owned cardio-thoracic surgical operating room teams, chronic heart failure and after-hour clinics and multi-city primary care centers. He also was an integral member of the team that developed the Arizona Care Management Model that was published by Aspen.
Pitt’s acquisition experience includes the purchase of a 120-bed hospital and the negotiation of forward-purchase agreements to secure additional capital for operational expenses.
Pitt began his career with Ernst & Whinney. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona and is a CPA.
